I have spent the first 17 years of my life living back and forth between Hokkaido, Japan and Edgerton, WI. I would attend the whole school year in America, then immediately fly to Japan to start school there for the summer. I have done this from preschool all the way to 9th grade. Because of this, I have a complete understanding of the Language, History and Culture of Japan. I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, triple majoring in East Asian studies, International studies and History with a certificate in Japanese. My comments on tutoring Japanese : I spent three years learning Japanese from a native speaker, and lived in Japan for a year while also studying the language and immersed in the culture. I do also have some experience being a Japanese tutor, hope to see you around. Jyaa ne.

I tutored while in college, and I interned at an elementary school in Japan teaching English. I work well with children as well teenagers. I mostly have experience tutoring Japanese, but I have leisurely taught many people on a range of many topics ranging from a short lecture on ancient art to sewing.
My teaching style is lax but thorough. I like to encourage the student and build confidence.
