A Little Bit About Me...

My primary strengths as a tutor and teacher lie in my complete understanding of the science material giving me an ability to simplify it in different ways to help others to understand. I have always learned best by working to fully grasp the logic and ideas behind each concept or topic, which I carry on to my students. When one understands the material there is less need for memorization, especially in the sciences where concepts build upon one another. Additionally, this is important to test taking conditions, enabling the student to competently tackle a broader range of potential questions and exam formats. I also use many different methods in my own learning and in teaching others, enabling flexibility in tutoring to best fit each individual’s learning style.
