My comments on tutoring Elementary: I was an Elementary school teacher for 15 or more years, and taught and tutored in all the subjects. The subjects included Reading, Grammar, Writing, Spelling Reading Comprehension, Testing Skills, Organization skills
and any other skill you can think of.
I am a seasoned veteran in Education. I taught for 28 years, and was a school counselor for 7 years. For the past 2 1/2 years I have been a substitute teacher, tutor for 5th graders, and part-time counselor for PreK - 5th grade at different Elementary schools in Corpus Christi, TX. I also taught Study Skills, Test Preparation
Skills, and Organizational Skills to my students. I am Special Education Certified, and know how to work with students with different disabilities. This includes
ADHD/ADD problems, Dyslexia, Reading comprehension, Autism, and many others. My daughter is Autistic, has a learning disability, and is Bi-Polar, so I have personal experience with people with disabilities. At present I am tutoring a College Student who is Autistic. I have the patience and understanding plus skills to tutor anyone.
