I am a speech therapist with 11 years and experience. I have worked with students pre-k through 12th grade, primarily pre-k through 5th grade. I have extensive experience working with students on reading comprehension, answering and asking questions, semantics of language (antonyms, synonyms, multiple meanings of words, attributes, categorization), syntax, grammar, phonics and much more! I have mainly worked with kids with disabilities, including autism, developmental delays, communication delays, speech and language impairment, and Down Syndrome. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught Social Studies for three years at Mt. Rainier High School in Des Moines, WA. We developed a small learning community for 9th grade students. The average reading level in the academy was below sixth grade. The past five years I have been teaching Freshman English and Social Study classes at Coupeville Middle and High School.
