My comments on tutoring Elementary Social Studies : Have experience working with younger children as a Nanny.

While in College I was a part time nanny for a single Mom with twins. I started taking care of the twins when they were 2 and continued until they were almost 4. I was an assistant teacher part time at little playmates preschool daycare. During my time there I worked with the 2 and 3 year old class and the 4 and 5 year old class. I also helped the older children with homework. I was responsible for helping with meals, playtime and supervising outside activities. History is my major, and having spent much of my youth on the European continent with my father's duty assignments, it is easy to teach the events that have led to the present situations. English and education were my minors, and they have become essential living in an area where more Spanish is spoken than our native tongue. I have spent 12 years volunteering as a tutor at the elementary school level. I have helped students in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I worked with a number of great teachers who taught me ways of reaching students to help them gain increased skill levels. I have also been playing piano all my life and have taught beginning piano.
