Never stop pushing yourself to learn

I can teach in any style that suits the student. I am flexible with whatever excels the students learning the most.
I have taught a large array of children and adults, anywhere from a 2nd grader struggling with reading to adult Burmese refugees. I have the patience and flexibility to successfully work with anyone. I started tutoring when I was around the age of 13. I taught a young Korean girl English, where I would have to create my own lesson plans. While I attended Okemos high school, I partook in volunteering experiences that dealt with tutoring. For two years, I was placed at an elementary school where I would tutor 1st-5th graders biweekly with anything from basic math to practice with reading. Passion to teach students to be successful!

I am passionate about teaching and have the patience, care and respect for all my students. I allow them to tell me their learning style that works best for them so they can be successful in their learning.
I am a retired teacher with over 38 years of teaching both children and adults with diverse backgrounds. I have a BA and Masters degree in Education with an endorsement in ESL/Bilingual Education. My teaching style is relaxed. Students like how I am able to make writing fun with exercises to build their confidence, and improve their choice of words and clarify what they are trying to say.
I am passionalte about writing and have taught in K-12 for over 10 years. I have vast experience teaching writing at both high school and college level.
