Reading is one of my top subjects! I have taught beginning reading n first and second gtrades for more than 40 years. I have also tutored in reading in all the other elementary grades. I base my teaching in reading on phonics.

I have enjoyed very much working with children and I know that every student has his own learning style and my teaching must be adapted to them. I am patient, even with children who do not speak fluent English and I seek to encourage them to seek success. I believe a phonics approach to reading can help children learn to read quickly and confidently. I also believe a hands on approach to math can be very valuable to a child's learning. Improving Student Achievement

I believe that all children have the ability to learn. They each learn in a different way and at different rates but they all are able to learn. I promote a variety of teaching styles. Psychology major, Sociology minor at Stetson University
