A Little Bit About Me...

As a vocational expert/counselor I have taught, trained,and tested (interest, IQ, aptitude etc) both clients and employees. I worked with average intelligence adolescents and adults. I also assisted the special education teacher at Hanover Learning Center (approximately 7 years)working with mild and moderately impaired adolescents in the classroom. In the vocational and job placement responsibilities, I coordinated, and assisted/taught client to help them obtain their GED.
Naturally I would set goals and objectives (Independent Educational Plan). Depending if the individual's assets or deficits (weaknesses) would determine my teaching style. It was determined by the type of approach that would benefit the individual best. Some people are visual versus audtory, or hands on learners.

After graduating from college, I worked in a Top Secret position in Washington, D.C. I left that position to pursue teaching, and earned a Masters from Boston University. I taught high school classes for several years, and also worked in IT as a trainer and troubleshooter.
