My teaching style meets the needs of the individual students. So, it varies depending on teh learning style and need. I have 13 years of classroom teaching experience. I have taught in various elementary setting including urban, suburban, and rural populations. I have taught in very large classrooms with 31 students in them and very small classrooms with only 3 students in them. In addition to teaching in the classroom I have also lead professional development on writing, how to disaggregate standardized assessments, student engagement, and on the reading comprehension strategies.

Three years of experience in summer tutoring, helping students prepare for next grade level through workbooks, hands-on activities, and refreshing activities to recall main concepts and skills taught the previous year of school. I try to get to know what tactics help each student succeed in the best way possible. According to what the student's interests and hobbies are, I create a tutor and study plan specific to them to help them succeed.
