This is another label for all the subjects on this page. It is just like "English," except the term,"language arts," is used for middle school grades. I did teach middle school language arts my last 7 years in education, so, of course, I am an expert in this. I am a teacher that makes sure her students understand the basics, then we build on that. No one is a great writer unless he/she doesn't have an appropriate grasp of the fundamentals. It's like trying to master shooting a three point shot in basketball without knowing how to hold the ball or dribble. Depends on the student. I'm very adaptable. To say I am or am not alone thing here would be to exclude those who don't like that style. I've had years of experience due to my love of English. I'd help my friends and underclassmen to understand a novel or get ideas to write a paper. I'd check their grammar and spelling, and offer advice about the overall style of the paper. Now, I'm studying to become a college professor of English and perhaps French. I'm willing to work with students at middle school and high school age who need help either writing or understanding English or grammar, or need help with an assigned book that they can't understand (ergo, Shakespeare).

I've been writing and thinking about writing since I learned to read. I have, in the past decade or so, finally gotten serious enough to start publishing and teaching, while establishing my post-graduate education in order to increase my capabilities.
