In having a science background, I have not only learned laboratory skills and reasoning skills, but I have learned how to increase efficiency, communicate in a clear manner, and write in a way that is direct and clear. I enjoy learning, and I instill that passion into my students as best I can. I grew up with a mom who is an English teacher, so I have developed good communication skills and writing skills from her. I believe that when students are explained the fundamentals of a given subject in a clear, concise manner, they are given the tools with which to succeed. This approach eliminates the necessity for long, tedious memorization. The subject becomes fun and enlightening.
I recently graduated from Bar Ilan University in Israel with a B.Sc. in Chemistry. The program has a strong emphasis on organic chemistry and synthesis. Throughout my schooling, I frequently tutored junior student who were struggling or needed help preparing for tests. I studied Hebrew for eight years in grade school. I continued taking advanced Hebrew Language courses in university in Israel while simultaneously attending chemistry-related lectures given exclusively in Hebrew.
