My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : Expert

While attending California State University of San Bernardino and working on my bachelors degree in mathematics I had many opportunities to gain experience. I was a private tutor which included students from elementary, middle, and high school. One child I tutored, who was in middle school, was very bright but had ADHD and it was difficult for him to concentrate. I worked with him for about a year and by the time he was ready for high school, he was at the top of his class and was ready to start Geometry in high school. I tutored high schools students through programs such as Upward Bound as well as Inland Counties Mathematics Project. While at Upward Bound I worked with high school students who were either going to be first generation college students or in low income families, tutoring anywhere from pre-algebra-calculus. Helping children with math applications are considered very important in our environment here in the United States of America. Many people do not have the same passion for helping students understand the reasoning for mathematics.
