American History is one of my top subjects! I am a history major and love to teach History.

I learn visually and by reading the subject materials. I teach by showing students what they need to know by reading and using visual aids in my teaching style. I incorporate technology in my teaching because some students are hands on. I teach students in groups and individually.

If you are not willing to learn the material, I cannot help you. I will ask questions about your personal learning preferences before we begin(auditory, visual, hands-on, etc.). Lesson-planning will be made according to how you want to learn whether or not it is reinforcement or new material.

In teaching/tutoring, I have an ongoing teacher-student conversation that resembles a programmed unit. I talk mathematics from a tutor's point of view and expect the student to fill in the blanks in a way such that I've set him/her up. What it does is keep the student's attention since they've to answer my questions and "fill in my blanks". I love children and I love teaching children. I teach using a variety of methods. I have learned that children have different ways of learning. Some children are visual learners so I used plenty of visual aids when teaching these children. Some children are kinetic learners so I made sure that I used manipulatives when teaching these children. I believe that all children have a "best way" to learn.
