Calculus II is one of my top subjects!

Throughout my life, I have enjoyed doing mathematics. It has been my strongest subject since grade school. In middle school and high school I was consistently one of the top students in my mathematics courses. I am a 2012 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Chemistry and concentration in Biochemistry. I have worked as a TA for the sophomore Principles of Biology (II) course as well as the Organic Chemistry Laboratory Course. I always find myself trying to lead others to figure out material on their own as a I set guidelines for them as they do so. I believe this is the best way for them to learn the material. I do not like to tell my students the answers, inhibiting them from thinking things through. I try to find different ways of teaching material in order to keep them motivated, as well.

I have so many different experiences with my students. I have met different personalities and I came to the conclusion that each student have their own unique way of learning. I have to figure out what it is and that is the method I use to teach them.
In my senior year in College, I decided to start putting out Flyers for private tutoring because I noticed how much I love to help my friends with their Math Courses. I started getting phone calls and in August 2009 I started tutoring Middle school and High school students and also some college students. I enjoyed it a lot and I still enjoy it up till now.
