My comments on tutoring Vocals : BA Piano (BYU-Idaho), MM Piano Performance (BSU). Have an excellent background in teaching advanced music theory at collegiate level. Classically trained in vocal performance and have sung with BYU-I Collegiate Singers (2014).

An accomplished concert pianist, singer and writer, Mytch received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2014, under the private instruction of Dr. Stephen R. Allen. She has also had extensive study of the French language and has served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York City (Spanish speaking). Immediately after finishing her undergraduate studies, she attended Boise State University and earned her Masters of Music in Piano Performance in May 2017. I believe in identifying the learning style of the student which can take some time with some. Are they a visual learner I draw pictures, maps, charts and video; if an audio learner tapes, lecture, youtube, video, etc,.. and if a kinesthetic learner then they need the hands on experience to develop the learning that is needed, so then standing back to guide the thought process without doing it for them.
I started as an Adjunct Instructor at ISU for the Geomatics Engineering program for the 2007-2008 school year. Prepare for class setup the curriculum, homework, grading and test for 10-12 students. I went to ITT Technical Institute following that and was offered to Chair School of Drafting & Design. I taught and ran the department for 2 years. I was in charge of 4-10 teachers and 170+ students.

As a graduate of The Conservatory of Recording Arts and sciences I have a vast understanding of the principles and science behind music and sound. I am a practicing audio engineer that can record anything from a classical piano to a solo rap artist. I have worked with many groups for live concerts including Bowling for Soup, Hinder, Phil Vasser, Black Eyed Peas, and Three Days Grace. I am also a violinist of almost 10 years and an accomplished vocalist.
My teaching style is very relaxed and laid back. I expect the Student to work as hard as I do and to have a passion for what they are doing.
