I am a fall graduate from Troy University and will be graduating with honors. I am currently a peer tutor at Troy in biology and math (algebra). I have tutored privately before in high school math (algebra and geometry. I graduated 9th in my high school with honors earning an advanced diploma with an honor's seal. I love school and love to learn. I will be enrolled in Amridge University in January to pursue my master's degree. I love to learn and help others to learn. Different people learn differently; therefore, I present material in a number of ways until I discover how the tutee learns. During college, I swam varsity, an experience that taught me the patience and time management required to balance a rigorous academic schedule with the physical strain of a full-time sport. I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter. I enjoy teaching and working in the clinical practice performing laboratory tests and analyzing the results. I am enthralled with structures and functions of organisms and continuously intrigued with revelations of newly discovered mechanisms.
