A Little Bit About Me...

Studied Applied Mathematics, Economics, and some Statistics at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I was a tutor for two students at Finger Lakes Community College for Pre-Calculus. I have been studying mathematics for many years now and although i don't have formal degree yet, I can say with confidence that I have the ability to pass on the math skills required in certain areas of study. My comments on tutoring Statistics : Especially experienced explaining basic statistical concepts to students who typically struggle with math.

During undergraduate, I tutored several of my classmates in different chemistry and math courses. Additionally, I've had the pleasure of being a teaching assistant for 2 years for undergraduate statistics. As a TA, I was responsible for summarizing new material, reviewing the concepts, and going over the homework for groups of 20 to 30 students. During my time at the Rochester Institute of Technology, I was a student grader while working towards my B.S. in Computational Mathematics. I obtained my degree with Highest Honors, and an overall GPA of 3.88. I graded mostly college algebra and early calculus. I was required to do the same homework and quizzes the students did, and create answer keys. Then, I would go through each problem and either give full credit for a correct answer and work, or partial credit if needed. By following their work, I was able to see where they made mistakes, and write in notes on what they needed to do.
