I really enjoy working with people. Everyone has a different learning style and I believe in catering my approach to the person. I have a talent at taking complicated material and condensing it in a way that makes sense. I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2008 with my B.S. in Health Education. My option was Wellness Management which has a business component but in obtaining the degree I was required to do some teaching as well. (Not formally, more presentations to my peers and community education. I do not have a teacher certification.) A Little Bit About Me...

I am a Teach for America teacher. This means that in 2009, I applied with 40,000 applicants and was among the 4000 selected to become a teacher in a Title One school. As a TFA teacher, I have undergone intensive training that focuses on backwards planning and results based accountability. In the past year I have taught fourth and fifth grade subjects including: writing, science, social studies, fine arts, and technology. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked with teens in crisis. In that role I worked with teens to develop healthy coping skills in times of great stress. I've also tutored in biology, psychology, and English while I was in college.
