A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and planning every day activities. I had many field placements and I really liked working with children- especially one- on -one. During my field placements, I've had the opportunity to communicate with children and teachers as well.
My name is Nicole Koerner and I'm a native speaker of Germany. I was born and raised in Germany. I received a B.A in German Studies/ Communication & Culture from Kutztown University,PA in May 2009. Some of my honors include the National Dean's List,Honor's List Who's Who Among American High School Students and I belong to the German National Honor Society. I have experience in the German language, since that is the country where I was born. I am very good in the German language, such as writing essays, research papers and grammatical skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a highly motivated and organized teacher with a passion for teaching students of all ages. I recently worked as a long term music substitute at Hamburg Area High school in Hamburg, Pa. There I taught beginner guitar, chorus, piano and coached the drama club. This past summer I taught remedial reading during the summer school session at Hamburg. I have tutoring experience in Reading, Math, and elementary science. As a college student, I worked as a tutor. I taught music theory, sight singing, elementary science, math, and reading. I now am a substitute teacher and am teaching a variety of subjects daily.

More About This Tutor...

I graduated from high school as number eleven in rank out of 248. I often assisted other students in both high school and college. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school. I presently am a certified substitute teacher in the Cumberland County, PA, public school system, where I teach almost all grade levels and subjects. I far prefer private tutoring over formal teaching, as I believe my abilities are put to their greatest use in that setting. I absolutely love working with students one-on-one. It's what I do best.
