My initial experience was as a 2nd grade teacher in the Milwaukee Public Schools.(6years) I then moved to Ohio where I taught for 4 years as a Learning and Behavior Disordered teacher. I attended Kent State University and procured a Masters in Counseling for the Elementary Children. I taught Creative Dance in the Tucson, Arizona Pre-Schools (8 of them) for several years and then moved tom Reno, Nv where I worked as a Kindergarten teacher for one year and then served as teacher in the first, second, third, and fourth grades for a total of 11 years. For the past 10 years, I have worked in my community, helping to better the lives of children. At age 15, I began mentoring young girls and volunteering for a non-profit organization, counseling developmentally delayed children and at-risk youth. As a classroom teacher I realized the many problems my students had to deal with. This prompted my to complete my master in school counseling.
