A Little Bit About Me...

I am hands on. I personally learn best from things like powerpoints and handouts. This is also the way I tend to teach others.
I am a high school senior in the AP/Honors program at Warner Robins High School. I have two little sisters who I have tutored since they began school. On average, they have scored higher on tests when I have helped, particularly in the area of social studies. I have also helped multiple students at my school. The average that they score on a test is typically ten points higher than when they study by themselves and, in some cases, twenty points if the student does not study at all. The results are typically better in social studies, the subject which I am most proficient in, but all subjects tend to shoe significant improvement.

A Little Bit About Me...

I obtained my Associates of Science Degree in Biology at Macon State College completing courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Calculus. I then completed my Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology at Valdosta State University. At Valdosta State University, I completed courses such Microbiology, Molecular Genetics of DNA, Animal Physiology, Protein Biochemistry, and Statistics. With these courses came laboratory experience which has allowed me to strengthen my skills in writing laboratory reports. I also have experience in writing essays and research papers. I am very aware that everyone learns at different levels and in different ways. I am observant and mindful of this in teaching. I have worked with children with special needs for many years. A Little Bit About Me...

Graduating from Fort Valley State University with two degrees in education gave me a sense of direction. I have a sincere desire to help improve the future of our nation's children. I began volunteering in a literacy program that sought to help children and adult improve their reading comprehension skills. The volunteers read to the children or allow the children to read to them, review stories with them, and ask them questions pertaining to the stories.
