My comments on tutoring Algebra: I tutored Algebra I for 15 years in a private school.I helped many students to go on to graduation and others in preparation for their GED.
First as always teaching the rules of Math.For upon learning and retaining the rules of even the hardest subject any can conquer the dynamics of that subject.And then preceding onto the method.Repetition is greatest teacher. I represented a Christian academy as principal for 12 years consisting of about 60 students and at times more.During this time I acted as Algebra I Algebra II,Physical Science,Geometry and Elementary Math tutor. Later, I started another school of which I assisted again as Algebra I, Algebra II,Physical Science, Geometry and Elementary Math tutor for four more years.
