My passion is making mathematics accessible. After high school I was underwhelmed by mathematics. However as I took more math in college, I realized how much I had missed in high school. As I learned more mathematics, I became determined to make it my business to find and implement better methods of educating people on mathematics in a way that does not overwhelm them, but simultaneously makes their learning experience more useful. I studied teacher education as an undergraduate, and attended graduate school at Dartmouth where the program in mathematics has a specific focus on preparing one to teach mathematics. I have taught for 15 years. I began as a Preschool teacher and did that for four years. I also taught a a Charter School for at risk teens in NJ. I went overseas and taught in South Korea for four and half years, and am currently teaching in schools all over Northern Grafton County as the Education Coordinator for the Support center.
