Experienced Tutoring Tailored to Your Child's Learning Style

Teaching Style: I use many techniques to teach. I first teach according to learning style. This has been EXTREMELY beneficial in my experience and I have seen great results. I also use many aspects of the Cognitive learning theory which states that children learn best when they are motivated to learn. By doing this, children don't just memorize facts. Learning becomes an experience.
Hi! My name is Angee and I am excited about helping students uncover their love for learning. Education: I attend Liberty University. I will have my degree in Educational Psychology at the beginning of May 2015. I have taken many classes which allow me to use educational theories in my tutoring. Affordable English and Writing Tutor

I love learning, and consider myself a life-long student, even as I study to become a teacher myself. Teaching students about what I love to study is necessary and productive to my own understanding of concepts. I am a firm believer that students also teach through the process of creating a learning atmosphere that not only prepares students, but makes better teachers as well. With over 7 years in work experience, I am a dedicated, productive student and worker that will ensure that each and every student I tutor is satisfied with the help I provide. If they aren't satisfied, instead of quitting on a student, I want to make sure that I make myself a better tutor for students. I aim to be relatable, open to questions, and love to create dialogue between myself and students to best accommodate their needs. As a tutor, I aim to teach students through easy-to-understand, accessible communica ... read more

I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education. During the past 4 years and working in the early childhood education industry I realized that many teachers were not getting the proper training that they needed to receive to help the children that they are serving. Once I realized this I decided to work on my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in hopes that i could be an Early Childhood College Professor and teach students the ins and outs of the early childhood industry. While getting my bachelors degree I tutored in subjects such as reading, writing, math, and science as well as art.
I believe that all students learn differently and should be treated as so; with this being said i believe that each student should work at their own pace and should be helped to find strategies that help them learn.

A Little Bit About Me...

Every child has something to contribute to our community if only given the opportunity and tools to do so. Children can learn whether they are visual, kinesthetic, or auditory learners. It's my goal to teach to their strengths and abilities. I am positive, flexible, and eager to teach the skills and knowledge to be successful. With their curiosity they will ask their own questions and I will be there to nurture their discoveries. My goal is to be a motivator and an educator; a mentor and an advocate; a positive force and a guide to better understanding of their surroundings. A caring and knowledgeable educator can make the difference in a child’s future. I will always strive to be the best educator and mentor that I possibly can.
As a graduate in Education with a 3.84 grade point, I strive for excellence in everything that I do. I have taken some graduate classes in child psychol ... read more

Teaching has always been something that I've greatly enjoyed. Whether it was helping a special needs student read, or an undergraduate history student finish a term paper, I appreciate the opportunity to help others achieve academic success. When working with students, I exercise a great deal of patience. I am also a firm believer in allowing students to achieve their potential through hard work. I find the best way to do this is by asking questions that lead the student to the answer. The proverbial "light bulb" that the student reaches when he realizes that he does indeed know the answer is very rewarding for both the teacher and the student. My goal is not only to teach, but help students realize their potential to learn.
I began tutoring in high school. I worked at a local day care where I tutored a special needs child. The experience was very rewarding and inspired me to c ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

While studying at the University of Oklahoma, I became interested in tutoring and helping those less fortunate. I began tutoring at a program called Tuesday Tutors which provides free-of-charge tutoring to all students Junior High level and above (although we often helped out Elementary students who stopped by). I also became active in ESL/Literacy tutoring. I tutored ESL for 7 months prior to graduating. I have now graduated with three Bachelor degrees and am now seeking a Master's in Philosophy. I still tutor whenever I get the chance and am currently helping an ADHD/Dyslexic student to boost his reading level.
I generally try to remain as friendly as possible with the tutee so that he/she can relax and learn in a comfortable environment. I work on a first-name basis and try to make sure that the student is LEARNING, rather than merely finishing his/her homework. I teach u ... read more
