As a student at Kansas State University, I am currently enrolled in the Architectural Engineering degree and I am completing my last math class as of now. I believe I would be a great candidate for this position because I have recently taken the three calculus classes and now differential equations. Also, i have an extensive background in different fields of physics which broadens of the everyday use of math as well. From very early on I have been drawn toward teaching. As a student I was a tutor for many of the classes I took. I tutored Chemistry I, Beginner and Intermediate Algebra as well as a number of Accounting classes. When I graduated I immediately began looking for positions that would enable me to teach. I was very lucky to be offered a position as an Adjunct Professor at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. I have held that position since January, 2010 and I love it! My style is relaxed and informal, but effective. School already provides enough structure, and with a relaxed mind, information can be processed more easily. 1 hour sessions multiple times a week is the best way for the information to sink in. I have held informal teaching positions throughout my entire life. I have tutored everything from pre-algebra to Calculus to Piano. I'm currently employed as an after school tutor for middle school students, 6th grade to 8th, and independently tutor on Saturdays.
