I have over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry as an instructional developer, technical writer, help developer, business process analyst, and trainer. I have earned a BA in Spanish and an MEd in Instructional Technology. I am pursuing a PhD in Education in Instructional Design for Online Learning (IDOL). Teaching is in my blood. Both my parents were teachers. My father was a college professor and my mother was an elementary school teacher. As a PSR working in the school setting I students that were considered by some as untrainable. Often the students believed they were unable to learn or were dumb since they had always been told they were. I was able to work with some of the most difficult. I would make up games and contests to get them to try something. I believe in lots of encouragement and was recently told by one of my former clients, who couldn't read or write in the 7th grade, "I am really going to graduate this year.
