I am a firm believer of the concept "know your audience", as each child may not learn in the same linear fashion. Children need to learn whether via spoken (lectures, slides,) or written word (powerpoint, research journals, quizzes,). I'm very laid back and patient when it comes to teaching. I can empathize with students who have difficulty in a subject because at one point in my educational career I had trouble and needed help.
