I love Microbiology. My enthusiasm for this science is evident when I teach. I believe in building a strong knowledge base by emphasizing basics. I have been involved in the Microbiology field for over 40 years. I have taught Microbiology to employees and student interns. The Medical Society of New York chose me to educate physicians regarding the CLIA laws governing all clinical laboratories. My approach to tutoring is to first make the student feel comfortable and to realize that they are not "stupid" or inferior because they need help. Then I find out specifically where they are having difficulties and concentrate on that area. If they still are having difficulties in that area, I will move on to the next topic so that they don't get frustrated.
