My comments on tutoring Jazz Dancing : I have danced most of my life and Jazz has always been one of my best and most common dance types.

I have always wanted to teach! So any opportunity I got in high school I took it! I was enrolled in the teaching academy all through high school. Through this academy I got to intern/teach many different grade levels. I started with a kindergarten class and then moved up to 6th grade P.E. and Science, then I moved to 3rd grade. I was also hired by the school district to be an AVID tutor for 7th and 8th graders. I have danced most of my life so when I was offered to co-choreograph the plays at my old Middle School I took it and did that for four years. I am also currently volunteering at my church to teach a class for 3rd graders on Sundays.

In many ways, learning can be customized to fit the individual interests of students, and I challenge myself to make each session one filled with new ideas and topics. I believe that the combination of hobbies and personal interests, along with the subject matter is the key to learning. While focusing on science, I strive to introduce other related topics and probe for what each student is interested in. Further, I believe in teaching through learning.
