A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Bowling Green State University's Master of Education program, I have always had a passion for working with students in both a school and counseling setting. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology, which enabled me gain employment as a Crisis Hotline Phone Attendant and a Behavioral Specialist in a Children's Home for troubled and at risk youth. In addition to completing the Masters program, I also earned my school counseling license. My school counseling internship gave me the opportunity to teach students with a variety of diffent learning styles. It is important to stay creative in the classroom. I recognize that people learn differently and no one way is right.

My patience and easy going attitude greatly help tutoring sessions because the student does not feel reprimanded, but rather encouraged through the frustration and mistakes to achieve a greater understanding.
