I have been told that my classroom does not need a teacher's desk. This is probably due to my high energy, fact paced teaching style. I love using music and technology to get the students interested. I also like to relate English to their lives and show them how they need it. Yes you may walk past my classroom and hear rap music but, that is strictly to show the students how tools of education are used in their everyday lives. I have taught 6-12th grade English for three years. While teaching in Detroit I was the lead teacher heading the tutoring program for MEAP preparation.
