I have over 15 years experience. My experience began in 1998. I have worked in rural areas, inner city school, and I have worked with home school parents. I also work with students online and via SKYPE. Currently, I work with students after school in many of the local libraries. I also work with high school juniors and seniors with the ACT exam. I enjoy working with high school students in my ACT classes. My students have earned 4 or more points on the ACT exam! I'm a very hands on teachers. I like to make sure my students can hear, see, and engage with every lesson.

I stopped working in the hospitals when my oldest child reached the age of 5, so that I could teach my children at home. The four of them are now grown and successful. My degree in Psychology has a strong basis in Behavior Analysis. This is what I will be getting my Master’s degree in starting in the Fall. My teaching style mainly focuses on positive reinforcement. I use positive reinforcement in order to increase a behavior of choice. The behaviors we want to increase can range from working more math problems, reading more, increase doing home work, increase studying, etc. An instructional method will be used as well in order increase their knowledge of the subject and then positive reinforcement will increase their confidence and motivation which is necessary for success.
