Hello, my name is Lauren and I absolutely love tutoring! I have tutored since I was in high school (about 5 years of experience total)and more recently have worked as a Peer Tutor at Westminster College, as well as teaching private voice and piano lessons. As a biology major, I'm most experienced in science and math related areas, particularly general biology, general chemistry, statistics, algebra, and geometry. I am also very qualified to tutor ACT and SAT test prep, as I scored extremely high in all areas of the two tests, earning a 34 on the ACT and a 2190 on the SAT. A Little Bit About Me...

I was first introduced to accounting by owning my own business. Then I was hired by an engineering company to update their bookkeeping method from paper to computer. I became proficient in troubleshooting discrepancies and providing users with solutions. I interfaced with Federal and State taxing agencies, banks, and lending institutions requiring reports and/or payments. I then moved on to a Software Development company as a Product Manager of accounting software being developed for internet use by accountants. I trained and answered questions, wrote newsletters, prepared marketing materials and taught at seminars. I became a mentor and troubleshooter for the software users.

I am a graduate of a small private University in Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia Design. I have taken ample Mathematics classes since my graduation in 2005 and have spent in all about seven years tutoring and teaching both kids and adults in Mathematics, Science and English.
