Although it took me 15 years to obtain my B.S. in Business Management, I do not view that as a disadvantage. My style of teaching, especially with tutoring, is to find out what kind of learner my student is: tacit, oral, or verbal. Then the lesson style can be geared to that, while leading the student to become more aware of the other abilities and options.
