I just love helping others to be better.

I have earned a bachelor degree in Biology from Harvey Mudd College and master degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. As a result of this, I have gained a high level of proficiency in the subjects of math and science. Additionally, I have extensive writing experience from writing many laboratory reports and essays from literature classes as well as publishing two scientific theses and a journal article. I just recently completed my first semester of teaching University 101 at the University of South Carolina. This course allowed me to find out how much I enjoy teaching. I like to be able to make a personal connection with the students and learn about their learning styles and much more. I feel like each person who is in a teaching capacity has the ability to motivate and help each child in the classroom. It is just up to each one of us to decide how much time and effort we are willing to put into each student. A Little Bit About Me...

As an Early Childhood teacher, I have chosen what I believe to be a very important position in society. I have both a BA and a MED in Early Childhood Education. I have taught school for 27 years. During these years I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten,1st grade and specialized reading in grades 2-5. I have taught students in large classes, small groups and as individuals.
