I began mentoring students during my tenure at Regis High School, a private, full-scholarship-only high school in New York City at the age of 17. After attending Villanova University and Fordham University's Graduate School of Business Administration, I began tutoring part-time with Studypoint. I have tutored over 30 different students in nearly all academic areas, including SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT and Academic Programs for grades K-12. As a member of the National Honor Society in junior high school, I tutored students in various subjects. MY love for words blossomed in high school and I pursued English and later journalism as my fields if study in college. I also most recently tutored elementary-aged children as a tutor with Champion Learning Center.
I believe that the best way to teach is to relate the subject matter to something that students love. For example, if a student loves to watch cartoons or play basketball, I would try to use an example related tot hat to help them.
