I have a few years experience teaching in the Air Force. I also have an extensive background in engineering, statistics and math in general. While in the Air Force I was an instructor for the Space Operations School in Colorado Springs. This gave me the opportunity to go through many classes on how to instruct various types of students. Even though I taught adults, I am also very comfortable teaching children. I also have been an engineer most of my career so I have experience with real world math problems.
