My teaching style is based on an inquiry-based learning method. I do not give students answers. I ask them the right questions to get them to figure out the answer themselves. I also encourage the student to ask the right questions themselves as well. I am very patient and encouraging. I am also very friendly and like to keep a fun, warm personality while teaching or tutoring. I also consider myself to be a lifetime learner. I believe that when I have enthusiasm for learning it is contagious and the student will also have the desire to learn.
I am currently finishing my first year in my graduate program, MEdT Program (Masters in Education Teaching). I have so far spent 12hrs a week in the classroom for the past year. Teaching requires a patient, easygoing individual since not all students learn at similar speeds. There is not one single way to teach, so it is important to encompass different approaches.
