I have always been an excellent student. Attended small Catholic elementary school where I was the captain of the academic team during the 4th and 5th grade. I then attended an amazing middle school, where I became Student Body President, captain of the cheerleading team, and All A's student for all 3 years. There, I received the highest achievement a student can receive for all 3 years. In high school, I played varsity volleyball for 3 years, was captain for 2, and received MANY honors and awards for my talent in the sport. I have taken many courses over an extended period of time. In 2002 I entered the Surgical Technology program at Jefferson Technical College; I managed a 4.00 and missed only a couple of days. During the many testing phases of the program I stayed and helped get other students through the program, I was commended on my drive and determination to help other students, all while maintaining my grade average. I pulled down some of the highest scores in the programs history. This didn't go unnoticed, as shortly after graduation I was asked by the Dean of Allied Health and Surgical Technology Program Coordinator to come back and teach. I taught all of the prerequisite core classes, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Human Growth and Development and Medical Terminology.
