I have a BS in Elementary Education. I taught first grade for 7 years, teaching reading, math, science, history and writing. I also tutored at Sylvan Learning Center for three years in Reading, Math (including Algebra I), Writing, Advanced Reading, ACT prep and Writing. I have a passion for Reading and believe students who are good readers can excel in any subject, including Math and Science. I love teaching and working with children and adults alike. Everyone can learn; it is up to the teachers to find out how their students learn best. I was 14 years old when my younger brother was born, so I had the wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand that teaching requires a great deal of patience, knowledge, and flexibility.
