I am a senior studying Animal and Poultry Sciences at Virginia Tech. I have always had a personal passion for education and have enjoyed spreading the joys of learning and understanding to my peers, siblings, and friends. I excel in the subject areas of Math and Science, however have extensive writing skills.
The greatest reward one can achieve is to see the smile on someones face when they have found success in understanding something they felt impossible. I feel that there is no single method to learning, instead it is each individuals character that defines their own learning methods. I like to seek out what drives an individual to help them find their own passion about learning. With everything I do in life I go 150% and never give up. I have graduated from two major universities and will attend medical school at Nova Southeastern University in August 2011. I have just recently graduated from USF College of Medicine with a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences and hold a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois. I have extensive research experience in bioinformatics from the University of Illinois. I have one year experience tutoring in the underprivileged area of Urbana, Illinois; at Garden Hills Elementary I tutored kids from 3rd and 5th grade classes who had fallen behind the scheduled lesson plan.
