My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I learned study skills when I was a lot younger, before my older brother started junior high school. I know the best ways to maximize what you learn in the shortest period of time.

When I am tutoring others, I have a very hands on approach. I may offer help and hints, but I don't give away answers, I make people work for their grades. I try to make things interesting or entertaining when I'm tutoring, just so people don't get bored.
I am a High School Senior. I attend J. A. Fair High School in Little Rock, AR. I am a social person and I am really good at interacting with others. I am not self-centered and I help people whenever I can. my teaching style depends upon how that person learns. so many times you have young people that have very bright minds, but maybe they are a "visual" learners. in other words, they have to see it a certain way. i had teachers that i really loved and did well, but there were others that taught the same subject and i couldn't get anything out of the class.

My teaching style is a simple one: I use kindness with firmness and always attach a fun and tactile activity to make the learning memorable. My own learning style is more visual and hands-on, but I know that some children can learn by repetition and memorization, and if that's what works, then I'll adjust to fit that particular child's needs. I also use a reward system when agreed upon by the parent for when the child reaches small goals. I believe baby steps are what build confidence.
