I have had an extensive career in business. I have had a number of accounting/finance positions in the business world. My most successful position was with a chain of 30 Hallmark stores. I started as the accountant and eventually became the President of the company. I have had other positions as Controller and Accountants of other businesses. I would be able to instruct children with the basics and also explain how these basic concepts are used and why they are important in a real environment. After receiving a BS in Business Administration from a liberal arts college, I worked for several years in the business world. Hands on, Practice based, through step by step instruction. Visual learning whenever applicable. Geometry, algebra, physics, and some calculus are in my range of teaching. I am very patient as long as the student is trying to learn and cares about the work. Mental support of students is half the battle. I am comfortable tutoring lower level math classes, mechanical design, or other engineering classes. Writing classes such as English, literature, or fine arts are fine as well. I have a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering from MIZZOU. I am very proficient in technical editing, critiquing papers and writing technical papers.
