I can adapt my teaching style to auditory, visual or hands-on type learning. I try to create a relaxed and fun (silly for the little ones) atmosphere where learning will be fun and memorable, because I believe that if you enjoy it - you'll remember it. All students will be given a pre-test prior to instruction so that I can decern if the students problem is one of cognative development or simply gaps in the learning process. A Little Bit About Me...

My experience comes from earning a bachelor degree in Computer Studies. I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing many research papers. I am currently a graduate student in Systems Information Technology, and am also working on a diploma for medical transcriptionist. While serving in the military I was involved in volunteer work rescuing animals, held a position as Secretary for the American International Women's Club and am now a member of the American Legion Region eight. I am also volunteering this week for the West Fest as a ticket agent.

I graduated with a BS in history in 1996. After nearly seven years working for a large communications corporation I returned to college to get my teaching credentials. I completed a years student teaching and have taught middle school and high school at a local private school. At that school I often tutored students, offered help on my own time, and was the monitor of the school's study hall, Homework Club. Since 2009 I have taught adults at a local technical college. I began tutoring in high school then in college, I majored in mathematics to pursue a career in teaching. My career took another direction yet I continued my passion for teaching others through tutoring at local non-profits. Last year, I taught 8th grade math at a local public middle school.
