I majored in English Literature and Writing at UCLA, with a focus on British Pre-Reformation Classics, as well as Shakespeare's 1st and 2nd portfolios. My methods are constructive and encouraging. I start from the beginning, then progress one step at a time, eventually arriving at the finished product. A strong subject foundation will give the student more confidence and better skills to handle the harder classes they will encounter down the road., if they are currently in the harder classes, reviewing the beginning steps before conquering the latter ones would allow the student to make a smooth transition between concepts. I think it's a great feeling when you actually know you've taught something to a child and you can tell they will remember it for life.
