American History is one of my top subjects! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in History.

I think that the most important aspect of tutoring is finding out why the student needs a tutor, and to get to the bottom of that, it is important to listen to the student and figure out what the barrier to learning has been. Once that is solved, whether it be a lack of interest in the subject, or simply a lack of aptitude for that subject (not all of us are math wizards, for example), I devise an approach that fits the individual student's learning profile and interest area. Teaching styles have to differ from student to student in order to meet that person's needs; this is what I do to maximize the learning experience.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of The Criswell College I have earned a BA in Theological Studies. I have also had extensive training in such areas as History, Science, Philosophy, and Theology. I am pursuing at this time a second degree in History from Lynchburg College and will be adding a Masters degree also. This curriculum is still in use today. I worked for the Princeton Review as a tutor doing SAT preparation both privately and in a classroom setting.
