Your Child's Best Interest.

I want your child to be able to feel comfortable to ask questions. A lot of students are scared to look "less than" in front of their peers if they ask questions. English and Literature are subjects meant to be questioned and not just read. I believe that your child has every capability to learn and my job is to help them turn on the light bulb to help them see that reading and writing aren't as hard as they seem to be.
I have student taught since my senior year in high school as a credit. I have tutored family members and coworkers. I am currently a third year student at Glendale Community College (GCC) and my major is Secondary Education in English. My comments on tutoring Poetry : Poetry is a very interesting part of literature. It requires the ability to interpret words, group of words, and sentences. some students interpret a poem literally as poems connotes and quotes words that are c\sophisticated and complicated. Students need to learn to identify and distinguish a stanza, rhythm, meter, and timing of a poem.

I started teaching right after my college graduation from Philippine Normal University. I taught ESL (English as A Second Language in public schools from 1968 - 1985.
