Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry Assistance

My approach to tutoring is to work with the students to learn how to apply new concepts and information to problem solving. Chemistry is a science where this kind of concept building is key to progressing from one concept to the next. I don't regurgitate facts and figures. I love teaching in a hands on style in which the student not only has an algorithm of how to solve a specific problem, but has a thorough understanding of the concepts behind the algorithm. I enjoy having analogies or hands-on activities to demonstrate the concepts. I believe that many times people understand the basic concepts from physics in their daily life, but are frightened by equations.
