I am now a freshman at Saint Louis University majoring in biology on a pre-medical track. I have tutored in a variety of subjects ranging from biology, zoology, algebra 1, algebra 2 and chemistry to english and composition.
I am a huge supporter students tutoring students. I have found that working with students helps to take down a barrier between the tutor and tutee. I have never officially taught, but I have been told by my peers that they believe I would have some skill at it. Mostly, my teaching style would involve working through problems or homework step by step with a student at first, and then once they gain more confidence, allowing them to do more work on their own. Like learning to ride a bike, I believe that almost anything can be taught this way.
