Thesis - Antithesis - Synthesis: Critical Thinking with emphasis on vocabulary development. Latin and Greek scholar with relaxed manner. Looking to instill confidence in the individual student by giving them the necessary tools to pass any test - anytime.
Professor of Humanities Eastfield College and having also taught Brookhaven and El Centro Colleges for the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD)since 2006. I concurrently teach Dual-Credit Humanities and English Honors classes at Lakeview Centennial, the Garland ISD Collegiate and Career Magnet High School.I have also taught subjects as varied as remedial Reading, Practical Writing, Journalism, Psychology, and Sociology. I am fun, a bit sarcastic, easy-going, I use humor in the classroom and I pick my battles. I expect the kids to show me respect and I respect them in return! I am very enthusiastic when they succeed and try to make myself available to help them when they are not doing well in the class. I know that a student's ability to excel in any subject is closely linked with the enthusiasm they have for the teacher. Not every child is going to like me, but I want to at least try to convey my enthusiasm for the subject onto them so that they can see how important learning Latin can be.
